Kerri Einarson (Gimli, MB) lost 6-3 to Eunjung Kim (Gangneung , KOR) in the Final of the Karuizawa International, held December 16 - 18, 2022 in Karuizawa, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Einarson won 4-3 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2022 Karuizawa International in Karuizawa, Japan;
 
Einarson finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Einarson lost 7-5 to Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN), then responded with a 6-3 win over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN). Einarson won 9-7 against Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Karuizawa International, Einarson take home 24.750 world rankings points along with the $4,018CDN prize, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.5 after improving upon their best so far this season. Einarson ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 229.750 points earned so far this season.
