CHAMPION: Ebauyer/Zhumagozha Wins 2022 22nd Kazakhstan Cup WCT Mixed Doubles

Angelina Ebauyer/Adil Zhumagozha (Almaty, KAZ) won 9-3 over Yelizaveta Utochko/Dimitriy Garagul (Almaty, KAZ) in the Final of the 22nd Kazakhstan Cup WCT Mixed Doubles, held July 21 - 24, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. To advance to the championship game, Ebauyer/Zhumagozha won 9-4 over Merey Tastemir/Aidos Alliyar (Almaty, KAZ) in the semifinals

Ebauyer/Zhumagozha finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ebauyer/Zhumagozha defeated Arina Tabarina/Ibragim Tastemir (Almaty, KAZ) 14-1, then went on to lose 8-6 against Akgul Kumar/Georgiy Skupnevskiy (Almaty, KAZ). Ebauyer/Zhumagozha lost 6-5 to Sitora Alliyarova/Viktor Kim (Almaty, KAZ) where Ebauyer/Zhumagozha responded with a 9-2 win over Korea's Svetlana Kan/Abdukarim Zhumabek. Ebauyer/Zhumagozha won 9-2 against Regina Ebauyer/Muzdybay Kudaibergenov (Almaty, KAZ) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the 22nd Kazakhstan Cup WCT Mixed Doubles Championship title, Ebauyer/Zhumagozha earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $3,286CDN first prize cheque. For week 1 of the event schedule, Ebauyer/Zhumagozha did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ebauyer/Zhumagozha ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
