Carey/Hodgson finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carey/Hodgson lost 9-7 to Kalk/MacAlpine, then responded with a 9-7 win over Christa Shulman/Rodney Ouellette (Edmonton, AB). Carey/Hodgson won 7-1 against Delaney Strouse/Daniel Casper (Minneapolis , MN), then won 5-3 against Kayla Skrlik/Gregg Hamilton (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Curling Stadium Alberta Curling Series Doubles #2, Carey/Hodgson take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $1,100CDN prize.
