Ackerman went on to lose 8-7 against Deschenes. Ackerman responded with a 8-2 win over Stephanie Thompson (Regina, SK). Ackerman won 9-5 against Jessica Wytrychowski (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the U25 NextGen Classic, Ackerman take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 30 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 30.113 total points.
