Paterson/Follett Reaches 2022 U25 NextGen Classic Quarters

Kate Paterson/Sam Follett (St. John's, NL) qualified for the 2022 U25 NextGen Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-1 against Serena Gray-Withers/Andrew Gittis (Edmonton, AB). of the 2022 U25 NextGen Classic in Edmonton, Alberta;

Paterson/Follett finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paterson/Follett defeated Gray-Withers/Gittis 8-2, then went on to lose 7-3 against Alberta's Catherine Clifford/Desmond Young. Paterson/Follett lost 9-8 to Alyssa Nedohin/Jaxon Hiebert (Sherwood Park, AB) where Paterson/Follett responded with a 7-5 win over Chantel Hoag/Josh Bryden (Saskatoon, SK). Paterson/Follett won 10-0 against Sydney Libbus/Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Paterson/Follett earned 9.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the U25 NextGen Classic. For week 5 of the event schedule, Paterson/Follett did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Paterson/Follett ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
