Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL) finished 3-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hood defeated Jay Merchant (Melbourne, AUS) 6-5, then went on to lose 10-3 against ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR). Hood responded with a 13-3 win over Marcelo Mello (Sao Paolo, BRA). Hood won 6-3 against Chinese Taipei's Randie Shen. Hood went on to lose 6-2 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, USA). Hood lost 10-5 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). Hood lost 9-5 to Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Hood earned 5.625 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 14 of the event schedule, Hood did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hood ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
