To advance to the championship game, Willsey won 8-4 over Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) in the semifinals of the 2022 St. Thomas Curling Classic in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-4 over Michael Fournier (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 St. Thomas Curling Classic in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada;
 
Willsey finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Willsey lost 7-4 to Travis Fanset (St Thomas, ON), then responded with a 5-4 win over Evan Jensen (Raleigh, NC). Willsey won 8-3 against Dunnam, then won 6-3 against Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the St. Thomas Curling Classic Championship title, Willsey earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 69th place overall with 55.492 total points. Willsey ranks 65th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.250 points earned so far this season.
