CHAMPION: Sandham/Craig Wins 2022 Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel

Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON) won 7-0 over Grace Holyoke/Thomas Ryan (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel, held November 4 - 6, 2022 in Palmerston, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Sandham/Craig won 9-3 over Terri Weeks/Sam Steep (Waterloo, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel in Palmerston, Ontario; and won 7-6 over Olivia Beirnes/Kyle Forster (Elmira, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel in Palmerston, Ontario;

Sandham/Craig finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sandham/Craig lost 7-1 to Beirnes/Forster, then responded with a 6-4 win over Sheri Greenman/Michael Zuliani (Unionville, ON). Sandham/Craig won 9-5 against Carrie Robertson/Alex Robertson (Palmerston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Palmerston Mixed Doubles Spiel Championship title, Sandham/Craig earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 14 of the event schedule, Sandham/Craig did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sandham/Craig ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
