To advance to the championship game, Champ won 4-2 over Landan Rooney (Whitby, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Stu Sells Cookstown Classic in Cookstown, Ontario, Canada; and won 9-3 over Jordan McNamara (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Stu Sells Cookstown Classic in Cookstown, Ontario, Canada;
Champ finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Champ lost 5-4 to McNamara, droppimg another game, 7-3 to Carter Bryant (Guelph , ON) where Champ responded with a 7-3 win over Scott Ray (Cookstown, ON). Champ won 7-2 against Bryant to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 6-3 against Mike Foster (Cookstown, ON) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Stu Sells Cookstown Classic Championship title, Champ earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 73rd place overall with 58.658 total points. Champ ranks 43rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 50.188 points earned so far this season.
