In their opening game, Cornelson defeated Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB) 7-6, then won 6-4 against Justin Runciman (Edmonton, AB) and 8-5 against Alberta's Kinley Burton. Cornelson won 7-5 against Jaxon Hiebert (Edmonton, AB). Cornelson went on to lose 9-2 against Crough in their final qualifying round match.
