In their opening game, Mitchell defeated Jana Tisdale (Regina, SK) 7-2, then went on to lose 7-3 against Lorraine Schneider (Regina, SK). Mitchell responded with a 8-2 win over Sherrilee Orsted (Regina, SK). Mitchell went on to lose 8-7 against Schneider. Mitchell responded with a 6-3 win over Tisdale in their final qualifying round match.

Mitchell earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 8 of the event schedule, Mitchell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mitchell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
