To advance to the championship game, Carss won 9-2 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2022 Prairie Wheel Nutana SCT Spiel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and won 7-6 over Matthew Drewitz (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Prairie Wheel Nutana SCT Spiel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan;
 
Carss finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carss defeated Brayden Heistad (Saskatoon, SK) 7-5, then won 7-3 against Cody Sutherland (North Battleford, SK). Carss went on to lose 5-4 against Knapp. Carss responded with a 8-5 win over John Fraser (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Prairie Wheel Nutana SCT Spiel, Carss take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $1,070CDN prize. For week 8 of the event schedule, Carss did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
