To advance to the championship game, Bernath won 9-3 over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2022 Curling Stadium Regina Highland SCT Spiel in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 8-1 over Jaedon Miller (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals.

Bernath finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bernath defeated Brendan Ross (Swift Current, SK) 9-6, then won 7-0 against Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-7 against Kelly Knapp (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
