Carss finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carss defeated Steven Howard (Regina, SK) 1-0, then won 5-4 against Dallan Muyres (Saskatoon , SK) and 8-3 against Ben Gamble (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curling Stadium Regina Highland SCT Spiel Championship title, Carss earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $2,220CDN first prize cheque.
