Aaron Van Ryssel (Winnipeg, MB) lost 10-1 to Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Heather MJCT Bonspiel, held October 21 - 23, 2022 at the Heather Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Van Ryssel won 8-5 over Zach Norris (Morris, MB) in the semifinals

In their opening game, Van Ryssel defeated Colton Olafson (Winnipeg, MB) 11-0, then won 6-3 against Ronan Peterson (Winnipeg, MB) and 9-3 against Tanner Graham (Winnipeg, MB). Van Ryssel went on to lose 10-1 against McDonald in their final qualifying round match.

Van Ryssel ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
