Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) won 7-5 over Sandy MacEwan (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final of the Unibet Northern Ontario Tankard, held January 25 - 29, 2023 in Kenora, Northern Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Horgan won 7-5 over Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2023 Unibet Northern Ontario Tankard in Kenora, Northern Ontario;

Horgan finished 3-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horgan defeated Josh Szajewski (Keewatin, NONT) 9-0, then went on to lose 7-5 against Bonot. Horgan lost 6-5 to Chris Glibota (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) where Horgan responded with a 8-1 win over Dallas Burgess (Thunder Bay, NONT). Horgan won 6-4 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Unibet Northern Ontario Tankard Championship title, Horgan earned 11.250 world rankings points. Horgan gained 3.75 points improving upon their best 6 events, though dropped 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 20thplace overall with 145.503 total points.
