Hueppi/Weiss finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hueppi/Weiss lost 7-2 to Katarzyna Grzelka/Aleksander Grzelka (Lodz, POL), then responded with a 12-1 win over Agnieszka Paszek/Michal Paszek (Lodz, POL).
