Timothy Verreycken (Zemst, BEL) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Verreycken finished 2-5 in the 16-team qualifying round. . Verreycken won 10-3 against Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) in their final qualifying round match.

Verreycken earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Verreycken did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Verreycken ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
