To advance to the championship game, Cheal/Maurice won 11-5 over Veronique Bouchard/Jean-Francois Charest (Saguenay, QC) in the semifinals   of the 2023 Goldline Mixed Doubles Riviere-du-Loup in Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec; and won 6-3 over Aline Fellmann/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2023 Goldline Mixed Doubles Riviere-du-Loup in Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec; 
 
Cheal/Maurice finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cheal/Maurice defeated Anne Soucy/Richard April (Riviere du loup, QC) 11-1, then won 8-5 against Marlee Powers/Luke Saunders (Halifax, NS) and 15-0 against Maryse Ouellet/Jimmy Levesque (Riviere du loup, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
