Jack Smeltzer (Fredericton, NB) qualified for the 2022 Superstore Monctonian Challenge playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-3 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). of the 2022 Superstore Monctonian Challenge in Moncton, New Brunswick;

Smeltzer finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smeltzer defeated Andrew Gibson (Halifax, NS) 7-0, then won 9-3 against Tyler Harris (Charlottetown, PEI). Smeltzer went on to lose 7-5 against Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS). Smeltzer responded with a 5-3 win over Scott Jones (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Smeltzer earned 6.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Superstore Monctonian Challenge. Smeltzer move up 12 spots after posting a net gain of 3.197 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 115th overall with 28.162 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Smeltzer ranks 113th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.751 points earned so far this season.
