Trina Ball (Sherwood Park, AB) finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ball lost 8-4 to Marla Sherrer (Lacombe, AB), then responded with a 9-7 win over Jessica Wytrychowski (Airdrie, AB). Ball won 11-9 against Adele Purcell (Edmonton, AB). Ball went on to lose 9-3 against Kellie Stiksma (Sherwood Park, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Ball earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 19 of the event schedule, Ball did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ball ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
