Shuster responded with a 6-3 win over Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN). Shuster won 6-4 against Rich Ruohonen (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the USA Curling National Championships Championship title, Shuster earned 41.250 world rankings points. Shuster move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 39.375 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 13th overall with 183.192 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
