In their opening game, Collyer defeated Carter Bryant (Guelph , ON) 7-6, then went on to lose 9-5 against Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON). Collyer responded with a 8-1 win over John McCutcheon (Toronto, ON). Collyer went on to lose 6-5 against Sam Steep (KW, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
