Sarah Gaines (Oromocton, NB) finished 2-2 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gaines defeated Abby Burgess (Oromocto, NB) 9-4, then went on to lose 10-4 against Andrea Kelly (Oromocto, NB). Gaines responded with a 8-7 win over Samantha Crook (Sackville, NB). Gaines went on to lose 10-6 against Shaelyn Park (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Gaines earned 0.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 23 of the event schedule, Gaines did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gaines ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
