After advancing directly to the championship game, Lauren Horton (Montreal, QC) lost 4-3 to Laurie St-Georges (Laval-sur-la-Lac, QC) in the Final of the Quebec Scotties, held January 10 - 14, 2023 in Saguenay, Quebec.
 
Horton finished 4-1 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horton defeated Noemie Verreault (Quebec, QC) 9-4, then won 11-2 against Roxane Perron (Montreal, QC) and 10-8 against Dominique Jean (Dollard des Ormeaux, QC). Horton went on to lose 4-2 against St-Georges. Horton responded with a 9-5 win over Isabelle Neron (Saguenay, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Quebec Scotties, Horton take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Horton did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Horton ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
