Sophia Ryhorchuk (St. Paul, MN) won 5-2 over Julia Pekowitz (Natick, MA) in the Final of the USA Curling U18 National Championships, held January 12 - 15, 2023 in Lafayette, Colorado. To advance to the championship game, Ryhorchuk won 8-5 over Claire Viau (Stevens Point, WI) in the semifinals of the 2023 USA Curling U18 National Championships in Lafayette, Colorado;
 
Ryhorchuk finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ryhorchuk defeated Bella Hagenbuch (Utica, IL) 7-4, then won 7-2 against Ivy Neil (Norfolk, CT) and 7-3 against Ava Roessler (Galesville, WI). Ryhorchuk won 5-4 against Zoe Biesecker (Denver, CO). Ryhorchuk went on to lose 4-3 against Natalie Hollands (Bowling Green, OH) in their final qualifying round match.
