After advancing directly to the championship game, Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) lost 8-3 to Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Tankard, held January 23 - 29, 2023 in Port Elgin, Ontario.

Howard finished 7-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Howard defeated Dayna Deruelle (Harriston, ON) 9-2, then won 9-8 against Landan Rooney (Whitby, ON) and 9-7 against Michael Fournier (Toronto, ON). Howard won 10-2 against John Willsey (Oakville, ON), then won 8-2 against Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) and 5-2 against McEwen. Howard won 7-3 against John Epping (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Ontario Tankard, Howard take home 22.000 world rankings points. Howard move up 7 spots after posting a net gain of 20.125 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 26th overall with 130.898 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
