Kitazawa won 12-2 against Yumi Suzuki (Tokyo, JPN), then won 8-5 against Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN) and 10-4 against Suzuki. Kitazawa went on to lose 8-6 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Kitazawa responded with a 12-1 win over Riho Zaikan (Hioshima, JPN). Kitazawa won 11-8 against Kanai in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kitazawa earned 19.125 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the ZEH-NOH Japan Curling Championship.
