Kim Schwaller (Zug, SUI) finished 1-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller lost 8-3 to Jan Iseli (Solothun-Biel, SUI), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) where Schwaller responded with a 9-3 win over Christian Gebert (Aarau, SUI). Schwaller went on to lose 8-4 against Jan Hess (Zug, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Schwaller earned 2.063 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 29 of the event schedule, Schwaller did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Schwaller ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
