Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) 8-5, then won 6-5 against Christina Black (Halifax, NS). Lawes went on to lose 10-9 against Kerri Einarson (Gimli, CAN). Lawes responded with a 8-3 win over Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK). Lawes went on to lose 9-7 against Laurie St-Georges (Laval-sur-la-Lac, QC). Lawes lost 7-5 to Clancy Grandy (Vancouver, BC) where Lawes responded with a 10-4 win over Brigitte MacPhail (Iqaluit, NU). Lawes won 10-6 against Suzanne Birt (Summerside, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
