Mouat finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN) 10-3, then won 9-2 against Craik and 6-3 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN). Mouat won 7-5 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Co-op Canadian Open Championship title, Mouat earned 75.000 world rankings points along with the $42,000CDN first prize cheque.
