Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) lost 6-5 to Bruce Mouat (STIRLING, SCO) in the Final of the Co-op Canadian Open, held January 16 - 21, 2024 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 5-3 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2024 Co-op Canadian Open in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 7-3 over Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Co-op Canadian Open in Red Deer, Alberta;
 
Bottcher finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) 7-6, then won 7-3 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI). Bottcher went on to lose 5-4 against Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO). Bottcher responded with a 5-4 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Co-op Canadian Open, Bottcher take home 55.000 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN prize.
