Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) run at the 2024 Co-op Canadian Open came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-3 loss to Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB). of the 2024 Co-op Canadian Open in Red Deer, Alberta; Gushue advanced through the quarterfinals with a 6-4 win over Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI).
 
Gushue finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) 7-1, then went on to lose 7-6 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Gushue responded with a 4-1 win over Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK). Gushue went on to lose 4-2 against Schwaller in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gushue earned 42.500 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Co-op Canadian Open. Gushue move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 23.375 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 6th overall with 323.500 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
