To advance to the championship game, J.Craik won 7-6 over Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2023 Scottish Curling Championships in Dumfries, Scotland, Scotland;
 
J.Craik finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, J.Craik defeated Ross R.Craik (Stirling, SCO) 8-2, then went on to lose 7-5 against Mouat. J.Craik lost 6-5 to Whyte where J.Craik responded with a 9-7 win over Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO). J.Craik won 7-5 against Kyle Waddell (Glasgow, SCO), then won 8-4 against Jack Strawhorn (Dumfries, SCO) and 7-6 against Orrin Carson (Dumfries, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Scottish Curling Championships, J.Craik take home 30.250 world rankings points.
