After advancing directly to the championship game, Jason Roach (Fredericton, NB) lost 8-7 to Scott Jones (Moncton, NB) in the Final of the New Brunswick Tankard, held February 8 - 12, 2023 in Moncton, New Brunswick.
 
Roach finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roach defeated Jack Smeltzer (Fredericton, NB) 9-2, then won 8-7 against Mike Kennedy (Fredericton, NB). Roach went on to lose 8-3 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Roach responded with a 9-4 win over Alex Robichaud (Fredericton, NB). Roach won 9-8 against Jones, then won 8-7 against New Brunswick's Trevor Hanson and 8-3 against Zack Eldridge (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the New Brunswick Tankard, Roach take home 5.500 world rankings points. For week 28 of the event schedule, Roach did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Roach ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
