Serkan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) finished 1-8 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Karagoz lost 7-4 to Giacomo Colli (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA), droppimg another game, 8-3 to Orrin Carson (Dumfries, SCO). Karagoz lost 9-5 to Lukas Hostmaelingen (Oslo, NOR) where Karagoz responded with a 9-6 win over Xueqing Fei (Beijing, CHN). Karagoz went on to lose 9-3 against Landan Rooney (Whitby, CAN). Karagoz lost 11-4 to Ethan Sampson (Chaska, USA). Karagoz lost 11-4 to Benny Kapp (Fuessen/Oberstdorf , GER). Karagoz lost 9-2 to Switzerland's Jan Iseli. Karagoz lost 11-3 to Eunbin Kim (Kyungil, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Karagoz earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 31 of the event schedule, Karagoz did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Karagoz ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
