Yuina Miura (Nayoro, JPN) lost 9-7 to Fay Henderson (Dumfries, SCO) in the Final of the World Junior Curling Championships, held February 25 - March 4, 2023 in Fuessen, Germany. To advance to the championship game, Miura won 7-5 over Xenia Schwaller (ZÃ¼rich, SUI) in the semifinals

Miura finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Miura lost 5-4 to Schwaller, then responded with a 10-4 win over Tessa Thurlow (Eau Claire, USA). Miura went on to lose 4-3 against Henderson. Miura responded with a 9-3 win over Torhild Bjoernstad (Lillehammer, NOR). Miura won 7-6 against Bobae Kang (Songhyun, KOR), then won 12-3 against Emily Deschenes (Chester, CAN) and 6-5 against Sara Messenzehl (Fuessen, GER). Miura went on to lose 8-5 against Moa Dryburgh (Sundbyberg, SWE). Miura responded with a 7-5 win over Evelina Barone (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the World Junior Curling Championships, Miura take home 19.250 world rankings points. For week 31 of the event schedule, Miura did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Miura ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
