Kang lost 7-6 to Xenia Schwaller (ZÃ¼rich, SUI) where Kang responded with a 9-6 win over Moa Dryburgh (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Kang earned 5.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
