In their opening game, Bjoernstad defeated Emily Deschenes (Chester, CAN) 7-4, then won 7-3 against Bobae Kang (Songhyun, KOR) and 8-7 against Moa Dryburgh (Sundbyberg, SWE). Bjoernstad went on to lose 9-3 against Yuina Miura (Nayoro, JPN). Bjoernstad lost 7-2 to Schwaller where Bjoernstad responded with a 8-5 win over Tessa Thurlow (Eau Claire, USA). Bjoernstad won 6-5 against Evelina Barone (Riga, LAT), then won 7-6 against Henderson and 11-8 against Sara Messenzehl (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their third place finish at the World Junior Curling Championships, Bjoernstad earn 15.750 world rankings points.
