Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Horgan finished 6-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . Horgan went on to lose 9-2 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
