Sarah Hoag/James Gordon (Martensville, SK) finished 2-4 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hoag/Gordon defeated Saskatchewan's Sara England/Jared Gudereit 7-6, then went on to lose 9-5 against Saskatchewan's Ashley Williamson/Sam Wills. Hoag/Gordon lost 6-5 to Madison Kleiter/Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Hoag/Gordon lost 8-6 to Saskatchewan's Abbey Johnson/ Johnson where Hoag/Gordon responded with a 10-9 win over Sherry Just/Dean Grindheim (Prince Albert, SK). Hoag/Gordon went on to lose 7-3 against Just/Grindheim in their final qualifying round match.

Hoag/Gordon earned 1.875 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 31 of the event schedule, Hoag/Gordon did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hoag/Gordon ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
