Papley/van Amsterdam won 7-3 against 's Hoffman/Dean Mamer, then won 9-6 against Danielle Schmiemann/Jason Ginter (Edmonton, AB). Papley/van Amsterdam went on to lose 8-5 against Ashley Kalk/Craig MacAlpine (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Alberta Best Western Mixed Doubles Championship, Papley/van Amsterdam take home 11.000 world rankings points.
