Orrin Carson (Dumfries, SCO) won 6-3 over Jack Strawhorn (Dumfries, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, held November 8 - 13, 2022 in Aberdeen, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Carson won 10-4 over Ross Craik (Forfar, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2023 Scottish Curling Junior Championships in Aberdeen, Scotland;

Carson finished 7-1 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carson lost 6-5 to Strawhorn, then responded with a 7-6 win over Fraser Swanston (Forfar, SCO). Carson won 13-6 against Arran Thomson (Perth, SCO), then won 8-6 against Craik and 11-0 against Ethan Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). Carson won 12-3 against Stewart Kyle (Dumfries, SCO), then won 8-2 against Gavin Cameron (Moray, SCO) and 6-1 against David Beesley (Edinburgh, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Scottish Curling Junior Championships Championship title, Carson earned 7.500 world rankings points. For week 15 of the event schedule, Carson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Carson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
