To advance to the championship game, Wendling won 7-6 over Wyatt Wright (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2023 Stu Sells Junior Tankard in Barrie, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-4 over Ryan Hastings (Stouffville, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Stu Sells Junior Tankard in Barrie, Ontario, Canada;
 
Wendling finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wendling defeated Owen Thompson (Barrie, ON) 6-3, then went on to lose 4-2 against Hastings. Wendling responded with a 5-3 win over Wright. Wendling won 5-4 against Brendan Rajala (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
