Heather Drake/Thomas Annear (Montague, PEI) finished 2-3 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Drake/Annear defeated Robyn MacDonald/Philip MacDonald (Montague, PEI) 9-7, then went on to lose 10-3 against Lauren MacFayden/Alex MacFayden (Summerside, PEI). Drake/Annear lost 9-1 to Jenny White/Ed White (Summerside, PEI) where Drake/Annear responded with a 10-0 win over Mollie Shaw/Luke Butler (Montague, PEI). Drake/Annear went on to lose 6-3 against MacFayden/MacFayden in their final qualifying round match.

Drake/Annear earned 0.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Drake/Annear did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Drake/Annear ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
