MacFayden/MacFayden responded with a 6-3 win over Drake/Annear. MacFayden/MacFayden went on to lose 8-7 against Jenny White/Ed White (Summerside, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

MacFayden/MacFayden earned 4.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the PEI Mixed Doubles Championship.
