Steffen R. Mellemseter (Oppdal, NOR) finished 3-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mellemseter lost 7-6 to Lukas Hostmaelingen (Oslo, NOR), then responded with a 8-2 win over Nicolai Sommervold (Lillehammer, NOR). Mellemseter lost 5-4 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) where Mellemseter responded with a 6-3 win over Alf Christian Fahle (Trondheim, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Mellemseter earned 3.938 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 32 of the event schedule, Mellemseter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mellemseter ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
