In their opening game, Simms defeated Beau Cornelson (Camrose, AB) 6-4, then won 8-7 against Benjamin Helston (Calgary, AB) and 9-6 against Nicolas Oake (Edmonton, ON). Simms won 12-2 against Nolan Galardo (Peterborough, ON). Simms went on to lose 10-4 against Jones. Simms responded with a 6-1 win over Braden Pelech (Edmonton, AB). Simms went on to lose 11-3 against Dobson in their final qualifying round match.
With their fourth place finish at the CCAA / Curling Canada College Championships, Simms take home 1.500 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, Simms did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Simms ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
