Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) run at the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-4 loss to Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario; Sturmay advanced through the quarterfinals with a 6-2 win over Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario;

Sturmay finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Sweden's Fredrik Nyman 6-4, then won 6-2 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) and 7-1 against Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON). Sturmay went on to lose 6-3 against James Craik (Forfar, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Sturmay earned 23.375 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2. Sturmay move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 2.344 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 21st overall with 157.406 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Sturmay ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 52.250 points earned so far this season.
