Christina Black (Halifax, NS) qualified for the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN). of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario;

Black finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Black defeated Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI) 6-5, then went on to lose 8-6 against Jessie Hunkin (Spruce Grove, AB). Black responded with a 6-5 win over Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB). Black went on to lose 4-3 against Delaney Strouse (Traverse City, MI) in their final qualifying round match.

Black earned 16.500 world rankings points for their Top 7 finish in the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 2. Black move up 82 spots after posting a net gain of 4.359 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 174th overall with 5.578 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Black ranks 125th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.875 points earned so far this season.
